Remaining On Board (ROB) Survey / Bunker Detective Survey

A Remaining On Board (ROB), also known as a Bunker Detective Survey, is carried out on board a vessel to determine the exact quantity of fuel remaining in the tanks.

As fuel is a high-value commodity, discrepancies caused by mismanagement or potential fraud can result in significant financial losses for owners or charterers. During the inspection, our surveyors perform manual soundings and temperature measurements of all fuel tanks on board.

List and trim corrections are applied during the calculations to ensure the most accurate determination of the quantities remaining on board.
