Sampling Survey

Increasingly, Chief Engineers report receiving poor-quality fuels on board their vessels. Changes in fuel regulations, incorrect fuel blends, or improper mixing of “compatible” fuels are common causes of operational issues and potential damages.

At Eurocheck Marine, we assist in drawing proper fuel samples during your bunkering operations. All samples are countersealed to prevent tampering. A photographic report, together with comprehensive documentation of the sampling procedure, is issued—providing a stronger position in the event of a claim.

We also offer pre-sampling analysis to help owners and charterers verify fuel quality before delivery. In this process, a representative sample is taken directly from the barge’s cargo tanks after close coordination with the fuel supplier. The sample can be analyzed at a laboratory of the client’s choice, ensuring no surprises regarding the fuel quality prior to arrival on board.
